Well since I am for sure getting a SSD, should I get the SATA III then? My applications on the SSD will be writing data to the HDD, so if it's SATA III connection, would it be beneficial then?

Thanks for your reply. I fear you may be right. I've read further and it's recommended to go for the six-core and have a SSD for audio encoding. I am still working on my list, I will post it later.
