serious LHZ... insulting isn't necessary... and if you feel 1.6 requires more skill, then you may be correct. From what I hear CS was more laden with hackers than CS:S is currently... of course, if VAC 2 doesn't come out... then that will change very quickly

I dunno a lot about ad hoc networks, so someone correct me if I'm wrong... but, from my understanding, if you are only wanting the network on 2 of the 3 computers, you could always stop by a place like overstock.com and get two wireless cards... you can usually get a decent brand for like...

Are you using DHCP? If so disable it and assign them each their own static IP. See if that solves the issue of one bumping the other off.

lol, thanks for clearing that up for me... In my gaming... I get constant FPS improvements from one driver release to another (with exception on the stupid 5.3 drivers they just released). This "ATI fanboy" is using his first ATI card since he's owned computers right now and it's a 9600XT...

I'm sorry... how old are we? "you peice of crap"... hmmm nice way to argue a point. a 9800pro is not a bad card whatsoever... a 9800xt is even better... I'm not saying that the nVidia card is bad. I'm just saying that if you want a card that gets constant driver updates offering...

I dunno about a 9800 sucking... it's only 1 generation old and was the top of the line about a year ago... the 6600GT is a good card... but I'd pick the 9800 over it any day

I know that problem was prevelant in the hacked version of HL2 and CS:S... haven't heard of it in the retail version yet... did you check with www.steampowered.com?

actually I like the wireless... I use Photoshop CS and I use some stardock components including bootskin.... These problems must be on certain environments and not widespread...

You have to install Steam to your second hard drive. You don't have the option as to where you want the programs after that (not that I'm aware of at least)
