I just got my new hard drive, and when I was installing it I realized that the molex power cable connected to my old HD was also powering one of my fans and my dvd+-rw. I thought it was on a dedicated line. do you guys think this could be the issue?

well, the one I already have is 48.5 CFM, so that would be a bit of a downgrade. Quietness really isn't a factor, as long as it's not so loud you can hear it in the other room when the door's closed. Do 92-120mm convertors work well? Anyone here have experience with them? My heatsink fits 80...

I have checked with Ad-aware, numerous antivirus programs, etc. I made a text file a week or two ago and just accessed it, and now it's gibberish. Does anyone know of any diagnostics that could check my memory to see if that's the problem, or should i just buy a new hard drive?
