Found a solution. Windows 7 require icons to be scalable, ie. vector format, while most programs offer raster icons in different sizes, up to 32x32. Why are some of my desktop icons low quality/pixelated and high - Microsoft Answers Reducing the interface size fixes the issue. Have a nice day =)
