They are usually more than half the speed, but you are right Chris, the performance difference can be quite significant. If you can afford the extra $80-$100 then get the GT, it will handle the latest games better.

I would definitely recommend an AMD processor for gaming. Don't worry about getting a GT or Ultra card, you won't even notice in most games; unless you prefer running your games at 1600x1200 8xAA and AF?? :) Edit: the case is very ugly in my opinion also, but my PC is in a cupboard :D

Looks like my FSB/AGP/PCI ratio is 5:2:1, which means the FSB speed at 200MHz is asking too much of my AGPx4 graphics card... I am looking into a way to change the ratio to 6:2:1 but I don't think it is possible.
