OK... Can now see the new SDD in My Computer and have cloned my other HDD to it. Thank you soooo much so far. However, I still can't see the SSD in the BIOS. So I doubt I can boot from it and wipe my current boot drive (the HDD). Do I need to update the BIOS? I think my MOBO predates SSD...

BTW - he also said to link it to the USB1 port. I think it was on the LPT1 beforehand. When I had removed it, then turned it back on my computer recognised it automatically and added it straight to USB1. Maybe that was the problem all along??? Who knows, it's working again that's all that matters.
