    Killer e2200 issue

Found the issue: Right clicking on my network adapter and clicking properties brought up a window with settings for the adapter. The adapter had a setting of "Qualcomm Atheros Bandwidth Control" turned on. Turning off this setting resolved my slow network issues to my Windows Media Center...

    Connectivity problems

I'm trying to understand here: you have a wireless network that has internet connectivity which your machines are connected to, and you have a separate private network which your NAS is connected to?

    Computer Buying Questions

The Dell Poweredge SC430 will work with Windows 7, but it will still be very slow due to the age of the hardware, even though it has had little use. For small scale development, it would definitely be fine as a server. I'm sure later versions of Windows Server are compatible with it. You could...

    Killer e2200 issue

Hey all! I finally got around to upgrading my almost 6-year old rig. Got it a new case, mobo, cpu, RAM and PSU! I popped my old drives in and windows booted up perfectly! Installed the network driver for the onboard Killer e2200 ethernet, and I immediately started running into BSODs. Some...

Computers attached to wireless bridge losing connectivity after a day or so

I have two Debian boxes hooked up to a wireless bridge in my basement. They get on the network fine and such, but after a day usually, sometimes even less time, they disappear. I can't ping em or do anything to em. I have to physically go to the basement, either get eth0 to connect via gdm, or...

    Centos users issue

I would like to note that I fixed this issue myself by finding out how users were being authenticated (they referenced the .caldavpasswd file). I then asked someone here how the passwords were made, and we made them with htpasswd. Simple, took a day, but solved :)

    Centos users issue

The wiki page is on the CentOS server. I don't see apache installed anywhere, but it looks like php is installed. Edit: so this is where our calendars are also stored, and I found a .caldavpasswd file with all the existing accounts and hashed passwords. Is there any way I can add myself in? I'm...

    Centos users issue

Hello, We have a server at work that serves up a bunch of stuff, including a wiki page. I tried to access the wiki page, but I needed to have a login in order to access the page. The little popup would come up saying that you need to log into this server. I, for the life of me, can't find...

    Overclocking my E7200 C2D

It's at 1.200V. What's the most it could go to without melting it? lol

How to have multiple machines accessible outside of internal network?

I have two debian boxes running in my basement. I have installed an ssh server on the second one so I can access it from a terminal, but the first has an ssh server and web server (more to come in the future). I want to be able to access both machines from outside of my home. I used to be able...

    Overclocking my E7200 C2D

I didn't know it was the motherboard doing that. at 3.2Ghz, going to sit at that for a while. Prime95 doesn't run properly though, it fails on one of the cores because of a rounding error?

Verizon FiOS router and a wireless bridge

That was exactly where it was! I was looking for something like it, but I couldn't find it. The awesome networking will ensue!

    Overclocking my E7200 C2D

Got to 3GHz without having to change voltage settings, but I noticed the processor no longer gets underclocked when it's not being used heavily. I want the power/heat savings that come with that feature. Is there something I need to turn on?

    Overclocking my E7200 C2D

75c under load is so much! I didn't know the CPUs can handle that. After 35 minutes of Prime95, the max has been 49c, with it currently sliding between 45-47c. I'll be attempting an overclock very soon.

    Overclocking my E7200 C2D

I'm feeling adventurous. I want to overclock my CPU, milk it for what it's worth. I recently purchased and installed a "Cooler Master Hyper TX3" cooler. I ran a stress test for 3 minutes to see what the computer would max out at temp wise, which I monitored with core temp, and the highest they...
