I have a Gigabyte EP35-DS3L. I assume that would work right well with most memory types. It's probably going to be Corsair 4GB XMS2-6400 DDR2. Would having 6gb vs 4gb be any different in games?
So I'm finally upgrading my computer and wondering about a couple of things. This is a budget gaming comp.
Current Specs:
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: Intel Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
Memory: OCZ Platinum PC2-6400 DDR2-800 2GB RAM
Graphics Card: GeForce 8800 GT
Power Supply: Corsair 520W...
I recently upgraded from XP to 7 and backupped some of my files on dvds
I compressed some of my files and put them into a split up Winrar archive of 2gb each. My 7 install went correctly and I then started moving all the files back onto my hd. It all went smoothly except for ONE single part of...
I'm a noob making the jump from XP to 7 and I'm wondering about a few things
1. I'm on 32bit right now, what incompatibilities might happen when I go to the 64bit version of windows 7? I know my hardware is compatible but what about my all my programs?
2. I have a single 640gb hd and only 40gb...
My current speakers crapped out on me and I'm looking for new ones. I don't want anything fancy, just cheap, reliable and good speakers. Are these good:
Newegg.com - Creative Inspire T3100 2.1 2-way Speakers - Speakers
Any recommendations?
Yeah, I'm quite sure it's the speakers themselves. I can turn off my computer and leave my speakers on and they still emit static sounds. I tried dusting out everything and the static was still present. Looks like I'll have to get new ones
Nope, I just started getting static one day. Nothing around my computer changed and I'm quite sure that it isn't a problem with the computer's own audio.
I have Creative Inspire T3030 speakers and lately, they've been emitting a low static sound constantly. I tried updating my drivers and making sure my settings were correct and the static is still there. After looking around, it seems like my only options are to either open up the speakers and...
Q6600
OCZ 2x1gb DDR2-800 ram (which I changed to 4-4-4-12 plus 0.2V in bios)
8800gt
EP35-DS3L
So this is normal? Whew, I thought I messed something up again >_>
I have a Q6600 OCed to 3.1Ghz and I ran Prime95 and it's perfectly stable. However, I noticed that my speeds in games aren't improved at all (maybe 2-3 fps more) and that when I exit out of hardware intensive games like Oblivion or GTA4, my pc is extremely slow for like a minute afterwards...
What's your definition of "not loud at all"? I've noticed that lots of people have extremely different ideas of what's loud and what's quiet. My ears are pretty sensitive and have never endured the ear-destructive effects of certain music events like other people
Hm.. could it have been...
Hi, I have a Western Digital Caviar 640GB hd (Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives) and it emits this constant humming sound that is quite loud. Easily the loudest thing in my entire pc. Now, apparently this...
