I've done chkdsk, but I've realized that my computer randomly restarts & the remaining HD space varies.
It was 13.9gb a few days ago and now its 33gb.
Could it be a virus at work or the hardware?
I was running Spybot to have my computer turn off immediately with a thudding sound (HD?)
It then immediately restarted and just as the Vista loading icon appeared, another thudding sound occured.
Is my HD on its way out?

Hey guys, just making sure. I sent in my logs a few weeks ago but was away on vacation.
I received help, but wasn't sure on the instructions.

Do I remove the name servers that were listed...
No, I have not set any server up. However, I cannot connect to the internet. I get a message that indicates an issue with a proxy.
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:64727

I've run MBAM and Spybot but I'm sure parts of Cybot still remain. My internet remains blocked however with Firefox telling me the proxy used doesn't accept connections. Please help.

No, I plugged it into another computer and it made weird scratching noises and the activity light kept on flashing.
I opened it up in windows explorer and found many files missing.
It was also very slow and Windows Explorer froze a few times.
After about a year of use, my Western Digital external hard drive has stopped working properly.
Everytime I try to access folders or any file on it, windows explorer freezes temporarily and a message that says
"You need to format the disk in drive J: before you can use it" pops up.
Help please!
