    What You've Just Bought!

Linux ISO's. In reality: I back up all my families computers, including some family business machines. I have about 120 containers / services I run. Databases, services, etc. Jenkins, Jellyfin, Airsonic, Photoprism that syncs from NextCloud, and various backups running through Duplicati...

    What You've Just Bought!

Left it at my brothers. I pay for part of his electricity bill every month and when I ask him to do maintenance (like when I ordered the NUC, he put it together and put Rocky Linux on it) I buy him a game on Steam or something. It works out. Not a single drive failure in the 2 years I've...

Man I need to upgrade my server desperately. I'm still rocking 8TB drives from like half a decade ago. Got 16 of em now, I really want to upgrade all of them to 16/18TB drives. Though since i moved to Japan my homelab has been drastically simplified. Just a NAS and a NUC (replaced my...

 I still don't speak much Japanese. Most people are forgiving of the "gaijins" for not knowing customs. I don't plan on leaving Japan for a while. I love it here. Just went to Hiroshima and Kobe over the weekend. Been to Kyoto and Osaka a dozen or so times... Tokyo only sparingly --...

    What You've Just Bought!

Just bought a Corsair MP600 Pro LPX 4TB to finish up the build. Upgrading from my super old 2TB Intel NVME. Was always running out of space.

    What You've Just Bought!

Whelp. Looks like my laptop was lost in the mail. Insurance has paid out so I got my money back at least. Ordered upgrades for my desktop instead. Bought a new motherboard, RAM, CPU cooler, and CPU. i9-12900k, 32GB's corsair memory, and a Gigabyte B660i mini ITX board. And a Noctua cooler...

Lenovo P1 G4, fully loaded. I hear it's not the best thermally, but eh. I'm not too concerned. It was painful even getting a hold of this laptop, the supply chain nonsense is ridiculous. I'll be traveling a lot more so a good laptop is a must. My old X1 Carbon was starting to show its age.

Bought a new laptop. Thinking about replacing my desktop with it and giving the desktop to my brother. Now I need to find a good USB-C dock with dual Display Port.

    What You've Just Bought!

On topic, bought a resin 3D printer. This is gonna be interesting. Always wanted a 3D printer but never liked the low (comparatively) print quality of regular printers. $300 for the printer, a UV light, some resin, some gloves, some 99% alcohol, and a few other things. Dipping my toes into the...

1440p 165hz screen. I'm going to wait and see how things perform. Buying parts in Japan will cost me another $300 on top of the already expensive prices, so I'm definitely waiting until I visit the US again

So just a thought... Is my CPU going to bottleneck this? Do I need to upgrade that too? I'm eyeing a 11900k  Currently on a 7700k
