FX 8320 overclocks to whatever an FX 8350 can for the most part. Keep in mind it'll hog upwards of 200 watts, which leads to high temps, and reduced cpu life span. All while severely under performing an 84 watt Intel counterpart.
Grab the i5 4570, it'll out pace an FX 8350, and with reduced...
"icc still takes a few days to clear with its 12 bosses" If your a tank who knows what he is doing its easy to pug even ICC 25 in a few hours. Granted you'd be carrying the group............ but it is what it is.
On the Public test realms warriors ALWAYS get the shaft but have their multipliers...
Its a solid chip, if you got the cash to spare. Grab one and give it a try.
Yeah its a bit over kill for games, but who here doesn't multitask as they're running their game as well?
Edit- Don't mind me, been up for the last 48 hours.
Oh well, 3.8ghz is still pretty sweet.
Extra ram/unused ram is really just a waste of money. Unless your creating 3d models or something memory intensive, then you don't require much more then 4Gb.
Gurusan is right, barely any gaming titles run on DX11. By the time Dx11 is in full swing there will be bigger beefier cards out by then. Even though these cards support DX11 it doesn't mean anything because gaming developers have yet to utilize DX11. It's kind of like the old dual core vs quad...
Any increase after 3.8ghz~ you really won't see much of an improvement in gaming and probably minimal change in performance from bumping to 4.00ghz. It's not really for "extra performance" as much as it would be testing your limits.
You raised the multiplier to overclock so your memory remained...
No problem, I love seeing big numbers lol. You should be able to hit 4.00ghz. Just remember to monitor temps though and keep away from high Cpu voltages. Other then that, overclocking is only a win win situation.
