Will I miss out on gaming audio if I don't use X-Fi or similar?

To be sure (there seems to be problems with surround in some games, e.g. Mass Effect, if you don't have a dedicated sound card), and since my home theater system after all isn't exactly low-end, I purchased an Auzentech X-Fi Home Theater HD, which solves my problem: HDMI video from the graphics...

It's not about sound quality, it's about lack of specific features.

Will I miss out on gaming audio if I don't use X-Fi or similar?

Yeah, but then I would have to run a cable from my computer's onboard sound card to my home theater, and that's what I'm trying to avoid. And if I do that, I may just as well run a cable from my X-Fi instead. ;)

Will I miss out on gaming audio if I don't use X-Fi or similar?

I'm working on connecting my gaming rig to my home cinema equipment for a better gaming experience. There's 15m cabling involved, and it won't be a permanent setup (the cable will run straight through the living room when I'm gaming), so for expenses and convenience I don't want to use more...

360 rad enough to cool OCed i7 920, 2 GTX 480s and MB?

Heh :P As said, it's very sturdy and easy to use (though a user manual would have been great, had to look it up on the internet). A bit on the pricey side, but worth it IMHO.

Whatever, didn't want to post it all over the place, and it was one of the forums where unregistered users could download attachments. :P The bracket is really sturdy - much more than it looks. Check it out! Officially supports quad rads, at least.

Yeah, it cost preeetty much, double what I had originally planned. I'll be back with a quick worklog, pics and of course TEMPS once I'm finished and have had time do do some testing. (Just ordered the second batch from abroad, so might take a while, but I'll get back to you. :) )

360 rad enough to cool OCed i7 920, 2 GTX 480s and MB?

Thanks! I'm thinking to go with a dual loop with one 360 rad in each loop - one loop for GPU's and one for CPU and MB. One rad mounted internally at the top of the case, and the other rad mounted externally at the back using a bracket. Sounds good? *edit* I'm thinking Black Ice SR-1 360 might...

360 rad enough to cool OCed i7 920, 2 GTX 480s and MB?

I am currently building my first "real" watercooled rig, so I'm terribly sorry if these questions seem stupid to more experienced users. I have almost everything at hand now - just waiting for my three radiator fans to arrive. This is my system (case and watercooled parts): Corsair 800D Core i7...
