Rate the Wire Management Above You!

^^ well its better than alot of people keep their cases... the wrapping wires in electrical tape isn't great (would be alot better if they were sleeved), but its working for him... there's a bit of an airflow loss around the top right corner, but other than that, its looking clean enough to get...

    My memory timings and frequency

your mobo should be able to do plenty more than that (might need a BIOS upgrade tho)... what's your FSB, mem multi and timings set at?? does your RAM have an XMP embedded??

Rate the Wire Management Above You!

its pretty good... but you should get some of those wires tucked under the mobo (ie. that one under the GPU and those ones hanging in the top corner... i know its not easy with the 300, but you CAN do it) right now its about a 7.5, but you can get it to a 9!

    Intel Extreme Tuning Utility

^^ exactly... or just find your highest voltages, set that (and the timings, clock skew, etc) in the BIOS, and increase the FSB using SetFSB

    Intel Extreme Tuning Utility

extreme tuning utility is just an interface software engineers can use to access the BIOS which intel has included in all X38 and above chipsets... you can utilise ETU through apps like Gigabyte's EasyTune or ASUS SmartDoctor... look on the CD that came with your mobo (if you got it retail), it...

    *The Official Tech-Forums 3DMark06/03 Rankings*

Re: The Tech Forums Official 3DMark06/03 Top List yeah vista sux for benching most things... you can get it decent if you really really strip it down, but XP will still outperform it, and there are so many more things you can ditch in XP to pull even bigger numbers

an I7 build on a budget

why 9800s?? also, GTs or GTXs?? i just think the 9 series cards are quite overpriced for the performance they offer, and the fact that you're not gonna be doing any heavy gaming makes me think the 3870s would be a better choice for you... plus if you do decide to start gaming a bit, you can...

Looking for new Vid Card. Help???

dont worry about crysis framrates... it is unbelievably bad at CF... i actually lose a few frames when i enable CF... just play crysis with 1 GPU... just about anything else will at least utilise some of the second card... if you really wanna see CF/SLi fly, get FEAR and test it with 1 then 2...
