Well as of right now my rig is working phenomenally. Most games running at max settings smoothly. Some don't care for 3400x2160 resolution or whatever it is but that's not a problem. Eventually I will go SLI with different cards but for right now the titan black is serving it's purpose.
I had no idea they were releasing a new series anytime soon. As I mentioned in the beginning of this thread I'm fairly new to the whole pc side of gaming. Live and learn eh? Well if need be I'm sure I could get the titan sold to take at least a big chunk off an 800 price tag.
I am aware. But I do believe it was a malfunction with the 780 being that i havent had any issues since i swapped them. And I needed the 6gb to handle the 4k monitor optimally. I'm going to have someone look at the 780ti to be sure if it was the card. There was some weird black residue that...
Ok. So as it turns out it might just have been an issue with my GPU. I was going to upgrade my monitor so I needed a new card anyway. I went with the Titan Black edition. I've had several long gaming sessions with either BF4 or Wolfenstein : The New Order. No problems from either. I'll give it...
Here lately it's just been a solid freeze. I'm headed to work now so when I get home I'll play again and let you know what happens. Check all my heat monitors and whatnot. Thanks again for helping me out man.
Then perhaps it's not an over heating issue? I mentioned a while back that none of my thermometers are picking up any abnormal heat spikes. I did read that there can be a problem between the resolution and not having enough graphics ram. They weren't clear as to what though
Lately I've played borderlands 2. Splinter cell blacklist and Wolfenstein the new order. And my max resolution is 1920x1080. Which I run all of my games on.
Hey guys..me again... more overheating problems. I've done a bit of research and I've narrowed it down to a possible graphics ram problem. The 780ti I'm currently using has 3gb of ram. It could be that the screen resolution is pushing/ exceeding the GPU's ability. I've been wanting to switch to...
Thank you for the links. I'll see if I can download them to my phone and transfer them over. I can say right now while just running Kombuster with the "furry and tessy" test my GPU topped out at 83°c. I'll post further results shortly
As far as screen shots that will be tricky. I don't have internet. I'm using this forums app on my phone. $3200 gaming rig and no internet..wtf right? I'm probably going to have to have someone come and take a look at it. I only have an above basic understanding of gaming computers.
I just wish I knew what was over heating in my pc. None of my heat monitors are picking up any kind of excess heat. Overheating hasn't been a problem until recently. At first the game crashes were from my sound card. Now if I don't set my fans to manual at at least 80% I get BSODs about 15 mins...
I honestly like windows 8.1 I have a touch screen laptop that it's great for. Practical use and whatnot. But for gaming rigs Its a big steaming pile! I'm going to downgrade at some point
I have kombuster and afterburner. Afterburner is what I use to Co tool my fan speed. But it's still odd that neither of my temp monitors picked up on that.
Nothing in the minidump file. It showed no signs of overheating. I have fan monitoring software.and hardware. It showed no signs of overheating. But oddly enough I set my fans to manual at 80% to test it. And it didn't crash in the usual time.
I stopped pc gaming for several years. Now I'm...
