    Best CPU Thermal paste 2014/2015

I use AS5 and Xigmatek usually for OC stuff. For normal builds shop wise just the stock TIM of course.

    What are you playing now?

Replaying COD MW2, and also Chronicles of Ridding EFBB.

Is my PSU causing random shutdowns?

^ Yep. I keep an open window on all builds with a second monitor during stress testing with CPU Z open, watching the clocks and voltages and any variance. I want exactly what the processor should be on the high end no crazy turbo or speedstep. Even on my own systems when I OC I do it manually...

i5 4570 not enough for high end gaming?

It's more than enough CPU. I have two systems side by side nearly identical except one uses the 975 Phenom and the other a 4670k. Let me put it this way even the 975 Phenom can easily play any game. I do mean any game. There is about a 5-10-25% increase with the high FPS spikes on certain games...

Is my PSU causing random shutdowns?

I would re-seat the CPU itself again. Physically and carefully lift it out, then carefully put it back in. Clean it off again using 91% IPA. Smooth it off again with alcohol and coffee filters (a few daps of alcohol on the filters is fine). I use a + pattern with grease on the CPU, but a very...

Any good pre-built systems out there?

Well it's time to move on from this thread. We're all enthusiasts here but clearly we also have differing opinions on certain things nothing wrong with that. NCIX or whatever - it's all good. :)

    Help?

I use onboard, and x-fi, and also an Asus DG with my other system that has a PCI slot. Usually 95% of the time you don't need a soundcard most recent onboard is good enough. If you want better yes you can get better but you will also need to make sure your speakers and headphones are good enough...

Any good pre-built systems out there?

Have you checked the walmart site lately? You can get I-Buy, Cyberpower, Avatar, and other pre builts. You can also get pretty much any video card you want you just have to order it online. They just don't carry them inside the stores. Of course I love a built rig hell yes! But I'm also not...

Any good pre-built systems out there?

No one said Mr. PP there wasn't knowledgeable he seems to pick good parts usually from what I have seen  I just felt like rattling the cage of someone that just HAS to make sure folks build instead of being a tad more open minded. peace out .

I swear I'm an old man.

LOL old thread but funny. You're not old you're seasoned  I listen to Jazz all the time including old jazz and easy jazz. I play it also on a trumpet started when I was 4.

    $200 Graphics Card

Nice suggestion the 270x is a tad faster than the NV gtx 660 as well.

    Shadow of Mordor

I bet this is very overdone with regards to hardware specs. I will be getting this game and I will test it with a I5 4670k, AMD Phenom 975, and lastly an Athlon II 635 Propus. I will also be using various video cards. I bet the 635 will run it fine with an HD 7850/TI 550 Boost as long as you...

Noob Gaming on a Budget: Build or Buy

Interestingly out of this thread, and subsequently doing some searching I just found a really nice looking Biostar H81 regular ATX with some higher end amenities I will order one and test it. Never seen this board until now. Newegg.com - BIOSTAR Hi-Fi H81S2 LGA 1150 Intel H81 SATA 6Gb/s USB...

Any good pre-built systems out there?

PP listen up .I said zero time "tweaking" . I meant sitting there in the bios trying to fix default fan profiles or optimize C states. Most gamers - even the lowly Dell gamers and other OEM PC owners you speak of will change out a PSU, or they will just take it to a shop, one and done. Again...
