Broadcom has gotten a lot better recently for Linux users. I believe some of the specs have been opened up within the last year or so. It really depends on what card you are using.

What kind of a framerate are you getting with this mod?

I don't know if it's 12 hours, but there is a lot more content when compared to the original.

Ubuntu seems to have more of an OSX feel to it with the release of 11.04.

I just went through all of Crysis 2 yesterday. The graphics were beyond amazing. I have to say that the cityscape was a nice change when compared to the original jungle-esque theme. I was also surprised at the fact that my machine could run it on max, even with 24x AA forced.

This mod looks really nice.

Mint and Ubuntu are the best options for novices in my opinion.

Of course the USA isn't an Orwellian state just yet. However, it scares me that we are approaching it faster than I'd like to see. I have a larger problem with the fact that most people complain about the system while doing nothing to change that fact.

Dual is an awesome way to go. I would totally go dual myself if I weren't currently satisfied with running my laptop and desktop at the same time.
