I have a small Windows Server 2008 R2 server and I'm running into an issue with the backups. It runs a backup twice a day and each day is logged successful. The backup drive gets rotated out once a week with another drive for redundancy. When I try to restore from a previous date only some of them are available (even with both drives inserted), as though on some days there were no backups even though it shows it as successful in the logs. It also seems that when the backup drive is full it wipes the drive and starts over with the backups instead of pushing out the oldest backup. I've checked the vssadmin for the writers and all are stable with no errors. Any thoughts? I'm completely stumped.
