Hi there... This week I need to use a wireless connection. I've tried to set it up.. install all the needed drivers programs etc but I've had absolutely no luck at all!
The mobo comes with a part to connect to it. Then you screw in two magnet antennas into it. mobo is msi z97 xpower

There is no WiFi icon in my system tray after installing everything. I've spent over an hour trying to get it to work.

Intel® Driver Update Utility
second from last driver: MSI UK - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more 64

Also looked at killer network program... since its in the user manual.. but cant find a download link and most people say its a no go.

think I've found out whats wrong.. not 100% sure.
The little wifi box that i attach onto the motherboard seems to be faulty.. When i go into the Bios it shows that nothing is attached to it.
I've taken my mobo out and tried to move it around a little to see if it wasnt it correctly but same thing still shows.
Might just get a Ethernet extender... unless some one knows whats wrong.

Not familiar with that setup but if you can get it wired I would personally, wireless is less dependable of a connection

Have you installed all the drivers from MSI for that board? That would include the chipset, Smart Connect, USB 3, Wireless Display, Intel Network, Intel WIFI....ect.

Yup I have. I'm using wired instead.. got a cable to my PC. I think it was the little box that you attach to the mobo.. its broken. When i screwed the antenna in it moved stuff around in that little box and probably broke something.

Also having another problem now that I have had previously. My Xonar essence STX sound card is not being picked up in a certain PCI slot.. I fixed it some how before but I can't remember how..
