windows xp pro start up problem

Hi all,

Today i tried to start up my computer and for some reason when i start up i get the error message saying " we apologise for any invocence... windows did not shut down propertly maybe because of..." when i select from the choice it gives me it just goes through a loop even if i select safe mode just show a bunch of lines saying file path for system drive files. not sure why but how can i get this fixed without loosing any files?

insert your disc and run repair

Run a repair to replace the missing/corrupt boot files.
If you are unsure how to do this or are running a OEM ver w/o disk let us know and we can talk you thorugh it.
