Hi a friend of mine has just reinstalled windows 98 because I was having problems. I now need to sort out the resolutions on my monitor but it will not let me, can someone advise me what to try next.
Cheers

Right-click on "My computer" and go to "properties". When the window pops up, click on the "Device Manager" tab. Once there double-click on "display adapters" to expand the list. Look for the name of your video card, double-click it. Another window will pop up, click on the "driver" tab. Now, look at the "Driver Provider" it should say the name of your video card manufacturer, if it doesn't or says Microsoft then chances are you have not installed the drivers for you video card.

In the Device manager under Display adapters, does it give the name of the card? Example: Radeon 9800 pro
