how to transfer then burn mpeg files from old comp to new

Is there a way i can transfer a few of my Mpeg files from my old comp to my new one then burn it to a dvd on my new comp, my old comp only has a cd-r burner so i would have to export the files to a cd-r.

i would burn the files to CD-R as data then take the cd to the new comp and trasfer off the disc to the harddrive. Then, i would burn them to DVD.

yea thats what i figured but it would work as a dvd?

if you encode/transcode the mpeg first. i use nero.

You can also install that hard drive as a slave drive then transfer files that way. I suggest hooking them up as a network also. Or connect both of them to the internet and use AIM or MSN MSG. Then place anything you want to transfer in a file, then select the file and start transfer.

Amd64Boy, Most email providers limit how large the files are. Google's limit is 15mb. If they allowed you to send 500mb of video their servers would not be able to handle it.

Try to research your idea before posting it, some of them are ridiculous.
