why is each card sold by lots of different companies? for example, you can get a 6600GT from evga, msi... etc. surely they would all just be sold by nvidia?
nvidia allows other companies to use their idea and build the cards. the technology is nvidia's, but the ones doing the work are gigabyte, jaton, blah blah blah.
The GPU is nVidia, but the whole card is manufacturered by other companies using the nVidia chip I think.
