good intel motherboards

i need to get a new motherboard needs to be socket 478, but i pretty much know nothing of intel motherboards and chipsets. i need some guidance. can someone explain which chipsets are better than others and which are better for overclocking etc.

is the Abit IS7 good? or the IC7?

The higher the number the better the chipset. What I would suggest, though, is if you're upgrading your mobo, upgrade your CPU too and go with AMD. They will be much faster for your gaming. PCI-Express would be a good route also.

yeah, i know, but thats not the point, since i posted here i have chosen to get a DFI UT NF3 250Gb and a Sempy 2800+ because of the ram i have, i will be able to overclock it to about 2.3 - 2.4Ghz, so that was a better route than to keep the celly. thanks anyway.
