Gaming Laptop

Hi!,
I would like some advices for a new gaming laptop. I want to run games like Tera and Battlefield 3 for example with reasonable graphics. I have a budget between 500-1000$. I really need you to provide me some help for example if I should get a quad-core, etc... and some laptop suggestion.

This gaming notebook, seems to offer good value for the money.

It has quite the powerful GPU for a laptop (650M) while most other laptops in the price range of 1000 seem to have a lesser video card.

One thing to consider: Is a gaming laptop necessary? If it is not, then a gaming desktop would offer higher performance for the money, and likely have a longer life span, along with less thermal concerns.

In fact , a laptop is necessary so that's why I want to take a gaming one just to make is useful for the job and for my hobbies.
