Intel i5 4960k and gtx 960 vs AMD fx 9590 and r9 280x

I mostly care about the gaming part but overall speed aswell.

I saw in some benchmarks that the i5 beats fx in gaming but a 280x beats a 960 so with them combined which one is better at gaming?

The i5 will always beat the FX in gaming, that's the point of my article. In all forms of the word sense, it makes more sense to get the i5 4440 or 4460 and get the R9 280x. Faster CPU performance in games, faster GPU performance in games. The R9 280x is a rebranded 7970GHz Edition. The 960 is relative to standard GTX 680 performance. The 7970GHz is faster than a GTX 680.

BUT the GTX 960 uses a LOT less power and puts off way less heat. Any advantage can greatly be ruled out by some minor overclocking.

That graphics card will be enough for some great gaming.
Combined that with the 6350 hexacore it'll be plenty.
The AMD 9350 isn't worth it, it has some good reviews but generally it fails ass.
