| i checked out alienware.... you could probrobly build the same computer for at least half the price. i went to alienware.com and customized a pc that was almost identical to mine. the total came to about $2,800. guess how much it costed me to buy the parts for my pc..... $750. so there ya go. itll be alot cheaper to build your own

| Build your own, you can OC, pick the parts that you exactly want and not be limited to their choice. Quality will be way better, and if something fails you can just RMA it instead of the whole PC .

| The best option if you don't want to build is to go to a local PC specialist. Ask them, if you buy the parts, will you build it for me. They say yes, you hand over around $100 (never checked, but I think its around that for my local shop) and the parts, come back a while later and take home a PC for a fraction of the price of alienware. Or you could build it your self with help on what to do here if you get stuck.

| when the people on this site first suggested that i should build my own. i really thought it would be a bad idea. i thought it would be wayyy to hard. but in reality its not hard at all and in my opinion alot of fun. building my pc was a great decision. anyway.. if i didnt build it.. i wouldve wound up with an absolutely terrible Emachine. now that i look back at the specs of that pc.. i just shake my head. and BTW that crap emachine was the same price as the pc i built... and believe me... my pc is like a million times better

| Alienware is one of the things where you pay extra just to be able to say "I have an Alienware, and you don't." |
