Default San Franscisco Orange . Smart phone for £99?

Hi

Ive had a tocco ultra for the last year or so, cant say ive ever really liked it and now that the speakers have broken i have an excuse for replacing it.

I dont want to spend a great deal and after looking around found an apparently decent android based phone for just 99 uk pounds (san franscisco )

The only downside listed is that it has a lot of junk from orange on it.

Im just wondering if anyone has tried this phone? and how hard it would be to go to a vanilla android feel?. Ive never tried smart phones before

Cheers.

It looks pretty good for the price, actually.

Here's a good review of it Orange San Francisco Review | Mobile Phones | CNET UK

Also, it's apparently very easy to unlock, so that you can update Android to 2.2 (normally the San Fran is locked to 2.1), get rid of all the crap in-built Orange apps, and change the SIM from Orange to any other network; probably whatever network your old phone was on.

looks nice, but if your getting it of the web, best to look into it more, as it may be a copy/degenerate version.

Agreed. Depends on what site you're getting it from.

I know mobiles.co.uk to be reliable.
