Flashdrive common problems

Every time i plug my flash drive into the computer lab in our school an autorun virus always infects it. I don't know the reason behind not installing an anti-virus within the school computers but it is such pain in the ass. It always hide my files and i always need to do this attrib thing. Any help on how to immune my f-drive so that every time i plug it in autorun virus won't be able to infect it?

Yes. Every time i use it i scan my flash drive.

Yes. Every time i use my flash drive i make sure it doesn't have any virus in it.
