Hello all, im new here in desperate need to get my computer running normal again, it all started sunday morning at around 345 am i was playing wow and it crashed. then upon tryed to open wow again i get this following error.
WoW.exe Bad Image
"The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\d3d9.dll is not a valid windows image. please check against your installation diskette. "
so i restarted my computer in hopes that would help. it didnt. any program i tryed to access gives the same aside from a few of them gives me the same error. upon trying to search it with google when type it in and hit enter it shows the next page with what i typed up in the google search but says done and shows absolutely nothing. tryed accessing system restore only to get the same error. avast was able to run and also spybot S&D but pulled up absolutely no problems. i do have highjackthis but dont understand the log and cant manually search every entry cause no search engines work. many things like my email show up as blank pages. also active X wont allow me to download anything. i dont get the prompt anymore. my friend told me to do a chkdsk and run a defrag which was hoping it would work. but after running no such luck . im running xp home edition SP2. been having unstable driver issues since installing my graphics card but thats not part of the problem "ATI" just trying to give u alittle bit of info about my system. also tryed running windows update but it also comes up blank page saying Done at the bottom. im really clueless on how to fix this and i would appreciate any help or solution you can give me. being the christmas time im so tight on cash i cant afford to take my computer in. please if you can offer any assistance ill try to offer anything i can to this community in my field of gaming ect.
