Default Browser Problems

Hi I only just joined the forum today and hope that there is someone out there who can help with an issue I am having.

I am using Windows Vista. My computer was running fine and all of a sudden when I opened up IE I got a page that said - page invalid. I was able to access my mail and still search for sites etc but if there is a link in a webpage it won't open, I get the page with page invalid again.

I started getting this problem when I upgraded to IE8 so I took it off and put IE7 back on but I'm getting the same problem. I want to set Yahoo as my home page but my PC is having none of it.

I've been in to my settings and set Yahoo to my home page but that hasn't resolved the problem.

Now for some reason when I log onto IE7 I get the AOL search page up and can't get rid of it.

Hope all this makes sense.

Thanks
