Default Need a decent startup host

I am looking to play around with webpage design. I have what I think are the basic tools to make a mess. What I now need is to get the domain name and hosting..

Is there a good one in all company out there other than godaddy?

A few things you'd ask yourself, What is the size you're looking at for a webpage or website. Are you going to be using MySQL or other web applications? Are you going to host your web domain on a home built PC or do you need the web hosting (space and domain parking) and domain site (web domain like www.yourwebpage.com)?

I used inmotion hosting for about a year. plenty of features, a lot of great tools that I didn't quite use full-time because I didn't put in the time to really learn any of the tools.

Right now I am thinking hosting and parking are the best bet. I don't have the hardware to do a home setup... just looking for something I can build a few pages on and see if I want to invest more into it...

I use

DreamHost Web Hosting, Shared Web Hosting, Virtual Private Server, Dedicated Servers, WordPress Optimized, Unlimited Bandwidth, 24/7 Tech SupportDreamHost

+ a coupon "SOPAROPA" to get it total $70 for the first year, with two weeks free as a trail period.

$10 / year for a domain and 10 / month for hosting after the first year.

EDIT: And, as far as I am aware, a single hosting account can handle something like four domains. Has unlimited storage and bandwidth too

You can get 2 years for $80 at hostmonster using the standard coupon. Includes an unlimited number of domains hosted. It's great for entry level hosting.
