ok lets take it from the beginning

1. is this a new set up ?
2. has it worked b4 ?
3. do you have another notebook or pc connected ( cat5) that can get to the internet.?

here is a link to the manual, in it it states that an amber wlan light means that there is no activity, possibly do to encryption.
So I would take that to mean that the router has encryption set and the notebook does not. So I would go in the router and turn OFF encryption , then hit the net , then set encryption.
