Speed Decrease w/Seperate Modem & Router?

I was recently given a new Netgear AC1750 Wireless router which I want to use instead of the 2Wire Combination DSL modem/wireless router that I was given by AT&T. I've already tested the new router with my wireless devices and I do see a definite increase in range but am I going to experience a noticeable decrease in speed now that my internet connection has to go through my modem into a separate router?

You shouldn't see any noticeable decrease in speed.

Just make sure you have everything configured properly - Netgear as AP or 2wire in bridge mode - and you should be fine.
