Epox 8rda+ Lan

I have a Epox 8rda+ motherboard with onboard lan. I recently received some equipment from yahoo DSL and when I get halfway through the software installation it says setup cannot detect my modem. But the DSL, Power, and Ethernet lights are all green on my modem. I tried the setup on another one of my computers and I got the same message except it will give me an IP address unlike this system. I'm thinking it has something to do with my motherboards onboard lan. It will stay on "acquiring network address" but it will never go further than that. It will attempt to automatically find a IP through dhcp but it won't ever give me anything (although it will on the other computer). In my device manager under network adapters it shows up as nVidia nforce MCP Networking adapter but in the manual it says Realtek8201BL PHY for the onboard lan. Is this correct? Does anyone know what my connection problem could be? Maybe I should get a PCI ethernet card?

download the driver for the realtek and goto device manager, open the properties for the nic, click update driver, point it to th realtek drivers.
