Ubuntu 14.04 LTS CDROM mount

So I installed Ubuntu and everything is working fine, however when I put a disk in my cdrom drive nothing happens. I tried mounting it manually but it doesn't seem to work. If I reboot my computer with the disk in the drive however it shows up and works fine, until I unmount it and then I have the same issue unless I reboot again. Could someone please help?

I figured it out. I had to put a line in the fstab file to mount the drive on boot. It seems to work now.
