Windows Vista arrived and with it, a revision of the .ico format which adds “png compressed” format. Concretely, it means that the icons can contain a 256x256 pixels image compressed in png.

ToYcon is a software that converts png towards ico files, easy to use and light. Only a simple drag and drop of one (or several) images is necessary for conversion. The produced icon is in the same folder that the source image (it is possible via an option to choose the destination folder).
