Default Morse Machine

Morse Machine

With Morse Machine you learn the code using a tried and tested technique called the Koch Method. You don't have to laboriously memorize the dots and dashes for each letter and number. Instead, you learn to recognize the rhythm of each character. It's instinctive, just like the way you learned to recognize spoken words as a child - by the sound. And it means that right from the start you get used to copying the code at a useful speed - the speed you hear it sent on the airwaves!
Morse Machine works by sending a character and waiting for you to type what you heard. If you get the character wrong it repeats it until you get it right. It starts off with two characters, and when it sees you are copying them correctly it adds another, and then another, until you are accurately copying the whole alphabet, numbers and punctuation characters!
Become proficient at the world's first digital communication mode - as used by Marconi to send the first radio signals across the Atlantic - and open the door to the fun of making worldwide radio contacts using simple equipment and low power!
