| Re: Firefox 5 arrives early -- get it now! Well, Firefox has already stolen Opera's idea. Withe the Firefox tab on the upper left. |

| Re: Firefox 5 arrives early -- get it now! yeah I know.... but still the rapid release thing is bad.....
they will have to go versionless something for the addons then if it gets any worse. you can't expect the add-on devs to constantly be needing to update all the time. Plus don't you get tired of constantly needing to update stuff, you just wanna sit back an enjoy stuff for a while...? |

| Re: Firefox 5 arrives early -- get it now! I can tell there is a performance increase, but, I have not noticed any difference in ram used. 360MB used while just viewing tech-forums.net home page, no tabs, no add-ons. |

| Re: Firefox 5 arrives early -- get it now! If you want to see your themes you need to put the tabs back under the address bar.
Actually, Mozilla hasn't changed the release schedule that much. instead of releasing x.1, x.2, etc, for major updates and x.x.1, x.x.2, etc for minor updates, they are just going to go for fewer in-version updates. The biggest reason for the new version numbering scheme is simply public ignorance: people see a higher version number and automatically assume that the particular product is better then the one with the smaller number. People did not know the old Firefox numbering scheme, but they do see that IE, Chrome, and Opera all have much higher version numbers.
I am liking version 5. I am still on version 4 at work as I am using Portable Firefox here so I don't have to use IE8 (on XP). The only extension of mine that does not work on FF5 is McAfee SiteAdvisor. |

| Re: Firefox 5 arrives early -- get it now! The only broke ext. for me is realplayer downloader. I miss it though it was easy to save flash videos and it was easy to download, convert, and put videos on my phone all with one program. It was much smoother. Hope they fix it!!!! |

Hope they fix it!!!! | With FF6&7 I have over 150 Tabs open using TM+. When it crashes TM+ brings me back quickly. I have over 50 Extensions and 25 Plug-ins, half a dozen Themes too.
Is it too plain, then try the BeJeweled Theme.
RP Downloader works fine (for me), so does SoThink WebVideo Downloader. You could always use StreamTransport (always works (grabs)) and ffmpeg (converts anything to anything). |
