This game sounds like it is going to be fantastic. I am pleased to read that there will be more emphasis on fast action based combat, while retaining the souls game difficulty.

The action is CQ based and not ranged. It is forcing players not to rely on hiding behind a shield and instead survive by dodging and countering. It sounds very engaging. The souls games are very slow and methodically defensive. This one will be methodically frenetic.

I think it definitely has potential to be great. The PvP combat in Dark Souls got super gimmicky though. Honestly, I would still be playing Dark Souls 2 if it wasn't for that. Hopefully they do this right.
