i installed the gpu client, set user name to Burninator, team number to 12864, and yet my points are being credited to some other team. anyone know why this might be happening?

Wait, you can? Both crash when I try to run them simultaneously; "a potential conflict yada yada".

Check the machine ID, set the as 1 cpu, 2 gpu or the other way around. I had the same prob and that fixed it up. is your smp using all your cores? that was a freakin battle for me to fig out too.

Yha, machine ids are important.

What you can do, is use an affinity changer and lock the smp to 3 cores and your gpu to another.

Best gpu action is when its got full use of 1 core....... then again I havent tried sinse the nvidia drivers dumped cpu activity to 2%.

To avoid all possible conflicts set your Machine IDs by this guide:

Single Core/Single GPU - CPU: 1, GPU: 2
Single Core/Dual GPU - CPU: 1, GPU1: 2, GPU2: 3

Dual Core/Single GPU - CPU: 1, GPU: 3
Dual Core/Dual GPU - CPU: 1, GPU1: 3, GPU2: 4

Quad Core/Single GPU - CPU: 1, GPU: 5
Quad Core/Dual GPU - CPU: 1, GPU1: 5, GPU2: 6

That will stop most errors. Keep in mind SMP is still considered unstable and can possibly cause crashes and system errors no matter what you do.

no need, the latest drivers eliminate that issue on xp and vista...0% usage.
