Default need help w/ multi gpu

Problem:
second GPU client will not start without 2nd monitor plugged in

error message:

latest drivers: 182.08 - check
stock clocks: check

Physx Disabled: check

client shortcuts - check

GPU 0
Code:
target:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Folding@home\Folding@home-gpu\Folding@home.exe" -gpu 0
starts in:
"C:\Users\Tommy\AppData\Roaming\Folding@home-gpu"
GPU 1
Code:
target:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Folding@home\Folding@home-gpu\Folding@home.exe" -gpu 1
starts in:
"C:\Users\Tommy\AppData\Roaming\Folding@home-gpu - 2"
I googled around, seemed like a physx/ driver problem
what I found seemed to be, this issue is fixed with 18x.xx drivers, just not in my case

as soon as I plug in that 2nd monitor, it works without a hitch

edit:
I have P45 chipset so...

SLI disabled - check

You have to have a second monitor plugged in or a vga dummy with windows vista.

Or you can use the force gpu flag...not sure if it works with the lastest drivers though.

Fatty....Just add the flag -forcegpu XX <- with whatever your card.

The plug is actually simple... I just googled that how-to, as i didn't know either. Pretty sweet you can finally use those useless dvi-vga plug.
