Internet problem

Every time i connect to the internet about half an hour later the computer makes a click sound (probably the modem) and it disconnects for no reason. The only thing i have open at the time are msn and sometimes kazaa apart from explorer and systray. Does anyone kno why??

How old are the lines (the copper ones in the walls of your house)?

Ehh... if you got one of those sucky free ISP's, they will usually disconnect you automatically after an hour or so.

But as well, check your modem, its drivers and the connections from the phoneline to the modem and the computer.
