I have an old geforce 64mb card without, i think its called, pixal shader support. What graphics card would u recommend me getting thats around 100? 100-130$? Posted by: Dark_Sniper* you think you can put like 30 more so its 160 if so get a 6600GT. if not ill find something ;) for you. Posted by: heifsin85 hmm, 30 more? ur cutting me deep, real deep sniper. I heard good things about the 6600Gt, good bang for the buck? Posted by: Dark_Sniper* yes it is a good bang for the buck im getting one also and im a cheap ******* to so. Yea it will last you a long time seeing you with a 64mb i can tell you can use it for a long long time lol. whats your mobo support 4x/8x for the vga card cause the 6600GT works for both:D so its a great buy. If you game its get if you use it for a home suer still great and will last. Posted by: Dark_Sniper* here is a link for all of them you can pick one - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Manufactory=&PropertyCodeValue=679%3A10550&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=696%3A9639&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&PropertyCodeValue=0&description=&MinPrice=&MaxPrice=&SubCategory=48&Submit=Property Posted by: heifsin85 ah, awesome, thanks Posted by: Flanker If thats too much for you, I find that this one is also a very good performance/value card, and its cheaper :D . Posted by: woot7800GT 6600gt. TOTALLY worth it. Posted by: heifsin85 Ya, ill probaly go with the 6600gt, even though id have to buy a new psu Posted by: Counter-Strike 9800 pro = Ugh whats the use.. The 6600GT is the best card for the budget-minded, PERIOD. Posted by: damasta55r I suggest the regular 6600. Roger Posted by: Flanker Ofcourse the 6600GTs better, but if someone is REALLY short on cash and can't afford the 6600GT, then the 9800Pro is the next best choice. Posted by: damasta55r Well if he has an agp card, yes 9800pro, but if he has pci-express 6600. Or if all he has is $100, i'd say spend it on something else or save more money, as a sub $100 is not that good to upgrade if he already has a separate gfx card (i.e not integrated). Roger Posted by: Rich M Well there has to be someone different on every block and I recommend ATi 9600 128 or 256 meg....smooth, price is right, and no driver issues. nvidia was on top until prices went through the roof and drivers joined them! Posted by: PZEROFGH 9600xt for 90 dollars if your really cheap Posted by: heifsin85 eh, i ended up buying the 6600gt.
