11-28-2009: Sorry for the inconvenience. We finally upgraded to vBulletin 3 !! See you there, Larry Non-Admin game installation...help.Go to the Tech-Forums Discussion Home PagePosted by: hereticiv I'm at work and bored as ****. I want to install some games but I don't have admin rights. i did notice that I can get into regedit and do whatever I want. So, does anyone know how I can find the proper registry settings to manually place them in and also any way to get past the "program failed to copy file XXX" because it is blocked from installing due to admin controls? Any help would be great! Posted by: Ecniv What version of Windows is on the machine? Posted by: hereticiv Windows 2000 Posted by: Ecniv Chances are they have locked it down on the network side. Unfortunatly in 2000 if they have done that, the only way around it is to hack the Local Admin password. Believe me, you will get caught and fired. Just find games that dont make registry entries. I may be wrong, but Warcraft 2 and Maybe 3 for example will install without registry access. Posted by: Shakie If you want games and have access to the internet there are tons of games at www.miniclip.com and they are (mostly all) flash games.
