And of course it is between: Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft. Price doesn't really matter as I am looking for quality of games. I have done research online, but you can only read so many reviews. I want so actually feed back from those of you who have one or all of these and tell me what you think. Console games I am looking to play are RPG. My favorite game(s) of all time are the Lunar series on Sega CD. But I am a big sports game fan too. (Tecmo Superbowl- mmmmmm, memories) Thanks for the input. I want a better machine with better games :p Posted by: Shakie Ånubis, you seem pretty much like the authority on the X-Box, can you give me some details about DVD playing, Onling gaming and a comparison of the X-Box vs Gamecube? And some differnces in the same games for both systems, ie. Madden or similar. My wife wants a GC ( she is a mario freak :rollseyes: ) and I want an X-Box. [b][u]Re: XBox vs GC[/u][/b] To be fair i don't think there is any real competition spec wise. The specs of the XBox are far superior than the GC and the PS2. Luckily for me, my missus isn't into Videogames (yay!) so i don't have that problem. Heck tell her if she wants a GC to go buy one herself!! - j/k! My mate has a PS2, and i was kinda impressed but the games on the XBox just seem a lot better IMO. Posted by: Shakie I have thought about buying all 3 (X, GC and PS2) but I thought that that may be a bit of overkill. I think that I may go ahead and buy an X-Box and Gamecube though. I really apreciate (sp?) the input Ånubis and that replied. The only reason I would want a GC is for Zelda (supposed to be cool) and Metroid Prime- that game just looks awesome. It is a fact that for every xbox sells they lose 150 dollars so they could try to complete with sony and get more people to buy the xbox instead of the ps2. The xbox was originally supposed to sell for 500 dollars Posted by: Martin I currently own both a PS2 and a Gamecube and love it - more variety of games on the PS2, as well as some revamped classics on the GCN - and yes, the only game I've played so far on Xbox is Halo, so I can't quite comment on that. :p Just to bring something up though, some, if not most, people these days get brainwashed by awesome graphics in a game - usually it doesn't necesarily make a game 'better' (looking at BloodWake for instance) - one example is Contra. The two 3D Contra remakes on the PSX (Contra: Legacy of War and C: The Contra Adventure) really sucked balls IMO - not to mention 3D Castlevania on the N64 as well.
