god help my browsers !!!

guys
i cannot for the lfe of me max out a new win in either of the 2 main browsers. the window seems to be set at a size and wont have any maxing or arrow based stretching, leaving me unable to see important buttons etc at for example the bottom of a new window based page (such as a forum)
any ideas?

Have you tried re-installing the web browser (Download the latest SP for windows)

Are you up to date with spyware / Viruses?

Check all three of the above.
