Pc seems to short out...

I just upgraded my graphix card to the bliss 7800gs agp, and now when i play certain high demanding games such as doom and san andreas the pc seems to short out leaving the power led on but nothing is happening. i have a bluestorm 500w psu and good cooling. my grapics card normal operating temp when playing a game is around 55oc, if anyone can help me out i would be really greatfull.

Did you plug the power cord into the back of the videocard?

Did this only happen since you installed the new video card?

My guess is the video card is drawing too much power from the PSU, try a better brand and see what happens.

yes i used to have the 5200fx and worked fine, also the psu isnt that old i think i bought it like 2 months ago and cost me a good 60£ :(.
