Hi im looking to buy a laptop soon and have been looking around. I want a computer that is fast, i use my computer for a lot of downlaoding and streaming school work AIM burning cd's P2P and i want one that can suport doom 3 and really good external speakers. I was looking at the Velocity Micro notemagix B50 Ultra. I was wondering if this could do all of this. I am also open to ideas so please let me have them. PC's that can do all that and are the best bang for the buck kinda deal i dont really want to spend more then $3,000 Thanks

Look up the sony VIAO my dad has one and it has an HT 3ghz and 2gb of cash ram!!!

Ive taken VIAOs apart and I can tell you that they are not built as well as others

the second in the list is probbably best value but it's probbably worth going for the 3400+ and the gig of RAM, as it would make a noticable difference, especially the RAM as Doom 3 takes up a lot of it.
it has a well above average graphics card for a laptop
