what compairs to a 9800 pro with a nvidia card ?

Nothing compares to a 9800 Pro thats Nvidia, unless you want to up a generation and go with the 6800NU. The 9800 series pwned the GeForce FX series.

but the Fx 5950 has a engine clock of 474 and the 9800 xt only has 417

the memory clock aswell was about 70- lower then the Fx 5950
