Discuss Computer Science? What courses?

I'm going to college in a few years and thinking of majoring in computer science, just wondering what kind of courses colleges ,in general, have, and what they teach.

Discrete math, programming, networking, security (rarely), webdesign, AI, basically that's it. nothing intriguring. I hope they have a lot of 3d design courses.

A computer science degree sets you with the basic knowledge of intermediate knowledge of computing. A CS degree alone will not give you a good job in a specific, area. (programming, network adm, etc.) While taking your classes, it is almost necessary for you to take certifications.

Talk to proffessionals from the field you look on persuing.
I hope you gain more knowledge on what you want to do.
College is not for everyone, but it is preffered.

I will be transferring to Nova Southeastern University in August. I have only heard buy excellent news about their CS program. I currently attend Barry University here is Florida, but I want to change from IT to CS.

I highly recommend Nova for CS. I have done my reasearch and consulted with many friends.

Good luck.....
